Question

Wifi + IPTV with available equipment

by ibogda / January 6, 2015 5:41 AM PST

I receive wifi signal from ISP, and get internet through LAN connector ending. Also I have available equipment:

- TP Link nano router (for local wifi network)
- MAG 254 IPTV Modem
- TP link Access Point (client Router type)

I need both wifi and iptv at the same time.

The trouble is that my TP link nano router (which converts my LAN internet to wifi one) is only with one LAN port, so I am not able to connect both IPTV modem and TP link nano router on the single LAN cable.

Is it possible to establish Wi-Fi in the apartment and IPTV at the same time using only available equipment? Of course I am aware that buying a new router with multiple LAN ports can solve my issue, but I'm trying not to, but only with available equipment.

Please take a look at the scheme, this is what I am trying to establish but I'm not sure how to set up my access point? Is this a correct way or there is a better solution?

Thanks
