But you can put a switched hub at the end of the cable and that can then go to your PS4 and (more accurately) your new Wireless Access Point.
But why do that? Try a powerline with WiFi for probably less money. Example follows. Be sure to research powerline before purchase.

I have a large house and my wifi doesn't manage to hit each room. I have a ps4 and wifi isnt string enough in that room so I was hopping to pass an ethernet cable to the ps4 direct from the wifi router. Now I also wanted to buy a wifi booster to place in the corridor. Could the ethernet cable that I will pass to the ps4 split it in two so i put on in the ps4 and the other end in the booster or it will reduce it speed?
