Wifi connection

I am currently traveling with my Samsung s9 plus phone and my Samsung Tab A. My phone immediately found and connected to it but the tablet can't find the same connection. Any thoughts?

A few thoughts.

WiFi has a setting for the country. When I travel I set mine to non-USA to let the WiFi work on channel 1 to 14. Did you try that?

Also, it's well known that from device to device you can see range changes. Move closer to the WiFi source.

Both devices worked

In side by side here in Italy before without any trouble at other locations and I didn't make any changes to my tablet

Devices are not identical in performance and settings.

This can really mess with users at times.

WiFi coverage and channels can change without you doing a thing. Since it is Italy did you set it to allow the other WiFi channels?

I'm guessing that you were in some NA country and the setting was not for the rest of the world. Primer at about channels 10 to 14.

In short, nothing can change on your end and this will happen. Sometimes owners don't understand this. Also, reboot devices along with the setting change and moving closer to the source.

Problem solved. My tablet recognized the Vodafone network but the hotel's wifi wasn't showing. Entered the passcode and connected. My Galaxy phone and Mom's iPad found the Wifi by name.

Thats great!

Glad you found the solution for it
