In order to use your PDA to connect to the internet, all you need is an active internet connection available through a wireless (802.11b) router, which you already have. After activating your PDA's wireless connectivity (consult your user manual for instrctions), it should automatically detect your home network, and prompt you to connect. If your network is secured (recommended to prevent intruders), you will have to enter your security information (as prompted), which will be saved for future connections. Then just launch Pocket Internet Explorer, or another browser, and surf the net as you wish.
Hope this helps,
I am a new PDA owner and feel a little lost.
I am not a very technical person and just prefer when things work properly.
I hope someone can help me.
My new purchase is a HP IPAQ 2400 series. It has blue tooth and wireless capability and says the wifi is already in it.
My only concern is connecting it to my home network.
We purchased a wireless router (Linksys 2.4Ghs wireless broadband router). Our home network consists of 1 computer and my BF's playstation (which we have a connector for the router to the playstation).
I don't know if there is a piece I need to buy in order to connect the PDA to my home network. Can you please help me??
