Question

Wifi

May 19, 2017 12:19AM PDT

Family have an apartment in turkey and we have no wifi, there is a hotel within about 50m line of sight that has allowed us to use theirs. We can connect fine using my iPhone if we are on the balcony but as soon as we go into the apartment the signal goes.
Is there any we can add a piece of hardware to repeat the signal using antenna or similar so we can get the signal in the apartment.
Thanks.

Answer
Sure. Google Mesh system.

For this you want to deploy the Google Mesh system. I won't duplicate how to install, use here but it's nice and easy.

PS. I must add this.

No one will guarantee an antenna and device will work reliably at this distance. Unless they are just out to make the sale. So you pick up your gear and test it.

Since the balcony works fine, you might get by with a google mesh system or a repeater on the balcony. Again, no one should tell you that will work. You must test this.
