i have a widescreen hdtv. i have a radeon pcie 256mb card. i find that even though i have a dvi connection, s-video works better. it depends. id say first find out what cards your motherboard supports. then go to www.tigerdirect.com and look at video cards that support s-video. radeon is probably the best brand. if you want to play games a lot, get at least 256mb. the wide screen vs full screen question: it will display whatever you tell it to. i have mine set to widescreen, and i am using it right now. it just stretches the pic, still looks great.
Hello - I'm thinking of buying the Samsung 244T widescreen LCD for my PC. I'm also buying a new PC and want to make sure everything's compatible. What will I need as far as a video card? I know that some PC games are compatible with 16:9 ratio, but what about the ones that aren't? Will they be stretched out or just normal size (4:3) on the screen - with black bars on the left and right of the screen?
Any help is much appreciated?
