Wi-fi for Panasonic TC-P46G10 46" Plasma

Oct 5, 2009 1:55PM PDT

Does anyone know where I can find a wi fi adapter for use with my new Panasonic TC-P46G10 46" plasma? I understand there is a third-party product that can be used, but I can't find it. The TV is located too far from the ethernet source to run a cable all the way to the TV.
Thanks

Success with D-Link 1522
Oct 24, 2009 5:34AM PDT

I successfully connected my Panasonic plasma to the internet via the use of a D-Link DAP-1522 wireless bridge. Cost was about $85 on Amazon. I picked this unit because it has four ethernet ports on the back, so I can connect more things in the future, if needed. My wireless router is an Apple Time Capsule so they do work together. However, do not even bother to try and set it up yourself. Just call D-Link 24/7 customer support and they will walk you through it. If you happen to have a D-Link router, there appears to be a one-button setup, but other than that you will likely need help. Last thing to know is that, the range of the DAP-1522 is sufficient but you can't put it in a TV cabinet, drawer or something like that. It needs to sit on the table surface or somewhere where it has a reasonably direct path to the wireless router. I think there is a higher octane version with external antennas that probably has greater range.
