Ok so I tried your suggestion and right now i'm using the google dns addresses. But before I changed the address I noticed that I had both ipv4 and ipv6 enabled so I googled it and it looks like they cant be enabled at the same time. I disabled ipv6 and my wireless is connecting and says i have internet.. but i still cant access any web pages.. I think what this is boiling down to is i ****** up my settings somewhere but i'm not sure where Sad

Reset the router to factory defaults. Change ONLY what the ISP needs. Does it work?

". I have a static IP connection and I tried entering all ".

". I have a static IP connection and I tried entering all of the IP/DNS/Gateway info manually."

Wifi is often trouble with non-DHCP settings. I'd get back to "obtain an adress automatically."

Result..

I tried to edit the post but i couldnt so i posted it as a reply.. But I meant to say I have a dynamic IP address. I reset the router to factory defaults and reset both my modem and my router. Now my computer wireless being turned on isn't interfering with my xbox's LAN connectivity (like it has been for months), but i can't connect to my wireless network at all on my computer.

Let's ask about Norton.

Norton does this when it expires. There are other AV suites that do this but Norton seems to be pervasive.

I only shared my usual steps. Good thing we didn't have to go into the Norton issue.
