The 55" Samsung LCD is about 7 years old. Over the last year the screen will periodically go black and display a message HDMI Not Supported Mode. Bear in mind this is typically after hours of viewing without any change in the input. (NOTE: I'm running a DISH DVR into a Bose surround sound system then out to the TV via an HDMI output from the Bose system.) Secondly, the TV will on occasion make a loud cracking type noise at which time the TV screen is totally blanked by a distorted gray screen. Given all the above 99% of the time the TV picture quality is perfect.
Are these problems repairable or should I view them as early signs of end of life for the unit?
Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
