Clarification Request
Always test

With another remote. Remotes often take a beating and do fail. The cost to fix a TV if the TV is at fault will upset everyone.

Same problem

My hisense remote stopped working, and also my universal remote stopped working. This happened once before, but just resolved itself after a few minutes

They found their smart phones were interfering. No one has really nailed why. Or I missed it.
