What makes you think that mobo supports that cpu?
I am currently trying to boot my custom built pc in BIOS for the first time, but i’m having problems with it displaying on my monitor. I am just getting a black screen with no text or anything.
I have first started with the use of HDMI with my graphics card and my motherboard and nothing displayed. I then got a DVI-D to HDMI adapter but realized that their both digital and that still didn’t work, nothing displayed. Now I got a HDMI to VGA adapter and nothing is being displayed.
I attempted resetting the CMOS with the battery and the jumper and nothing still displays on my monitor. My monitor supports HDMI and VGA.
At this point, i’m lost for ideas on how to resolve this issue and I need some help.
Specs:
Monitor: Acer SA230 bi LCD Monitor (1980x1080) HDMI & VGA supported.
CPU: Intel Pentium Gold G5400
GPU: EVGA Gtx 1050
RAM: Ballistix Sport LT 2666 4GB (one stick)
MB: Gigabyte GA-H110m-a LGA1151
PSU: 500W Raptor Power.
I’ve attempted to removed the GPU and used the motherboard’s HDMI. Yet nothing is still be displayed.
My monitor does have an HDMI port on the back of it and also a VGA.
The adapters from above are brand new, i just purchased them.
My GPU also does not consist of extra ports to be powered from the PSU, but it does run, the fans are spinning on the GPU.
On for how this lead to this situation. I am not sure, I just got finished building the computer, all the parts are brand new, I haven’t even installed windows yet.
The PC is running, all the fans/cpu fan are spinning. The ram sticks are perfectly installed.
At this point, it could possibly be my monitor, but I even tried the two other TV’s that I have, and still no display of the BIOS.
I even took the motherboard back apart from the computer case, cleaned the CPU and made sure it was aligned correctly. I highly doubt it’s my CPU causing this issue.
I have a question, do I need to have the motherboard disc inside of a DVD player for the PC in order for me to run the BIOs for the first time? If so, I do not have one.
