Question

Why won't my BIOS recognize my Bootable USB

Mar 16, 2018 11:09PM PDT

Hello all,
I'm new here, just trying to get a simple question answered. Why isn't my Bootable USB working? I used the ISO to USB tool from Microsoft, burned my ISO correctly, the Drive Type is "E:", however, when I plug it in the USB to the motherboard and go to the BIOS to boot that drive, I can't find it. Please assist.

Thanks in advanced,
Amari.

- "burned" is not really the right term, that's only used for optical discs. What did you do?
- do you mean "drive letter" in stead of "drive type"?
- what BIOS, what motherboard and where do you look for this stick?
- did you check if it was bootable by booting it on another PC?

And finally, why do you need to boot from it?
