Resolved Question

Why won't my laptop or wmp12 recognize my mp3 player???

Dec 14, 2011 2:12AM PST

Under device manager it just comes up as 'unspecified'.... Ok this has been a problem FOREVER!!!!!!! I used to have a desktop-and it worked fine. Then it just stopped working Sad and then I got a laptop and it still does not work( Oh, and if possible I kinda need solutions that I don't involve re installing everything lol). And I'm on a brand new laptop so I don't think it's the usb ports.

On page 4 I see this device shows up as a disk drive. If not I would try putting some USB HUB in between the PC and this player. Also, try other USB cables.

If this fails, arrange for them to exchange it as defective.

Once I read what it was, there were some thousands of these sent out with so-so or defective cables.

Glad it was that.
