Question

Why won't my Flashdrive defragment correctly?

Mar 10, 2015 1:14PM PDT

My flashdrive recently got reformatted and had about 3.41 GB of files sent to it as a backup and then it got 100% fragmented and I ran disk defragmenter on it and it didn't go down by much. How did this happen and can I fix it?

add useless write sequences to whittle down it's lifetime. You don't defrag flash memory.

No need to defragment a backup, since you hardly read files on it.
No need (on the contrary) to defragment flash memory.

So:
No need to fix anything.
