Why Reversed Sound Channels??????

Sep 30, 2005 11:00PM PDT

Is this common just to my brand of player?

I copied mp3 files which play perfect om y
PC and the CD player yet on my portable when
I play back the same files the sound comes out
of the wrong channels.....

Why's this happening?

It's bugging me and the player is only half
a day old.

Thanks Bob... Helpful

Thanks for being helpful Bob but
I don't think that is the issue
here as none of my other audio
hardware or software seem to have
this problem..

Look at your uncooperative player again.

Some have a swap setting. Or you swap earbuds.

-> Why isn't this a warranty issue? I don't accept defective products. Neither should you.

Bob.

PS. If my last reply was unhelpful, I don't see why not. I could encode L-R to work proper on the odd player. Why not?

Actually It was......

HI Bob

Actually the message I first replied
to was helpful. Sorry if you thought
I didn't say that..

I ended up returning the player based on
the fact it didn't play as it should and
neither should the user have to bother
with anything as trite as swapping earphones
just so they can have enjoyment...

Specifically why this bugged me is that a
few recordings I have are encoded with speech
and music coming from either the left or right
channel and they are meant to be listened to in
that fashion....

So in short it was ruining my enjoyment of those
audio productions and therefore I was not happy
and I got a full refund....

But it should never have been a hardware problem
as I see it....

I really mean it. The more often a subpar product is returned the sooner it vanishes from store shelves. You've done every a big favor!
