There are standards in 3D TV but most require a 240 Hz display. This means there are few such sets that have the required 240 Hz display that didn't come with 3D. This means that is is unlikely your set could use such a converter and the market for such is so small that it will never happen.
Hope this helps you understand the issues.
As I understand it, the only difference between a samsung led tv and a samsung 3D led tv, is an added 3D processor. Why is it then, that samsung cannot produce a device containing this processor, which connects to the non-3D led tvs, and performs the 3D tasks only when a 3D image is supposed to be displayed? I'm not talking about one of those cheap "3d converters" that just blow up the image through their glasses. I'm talking about a true adapter that makes the non-3D versions perform exactly as the 3D versions perform. I don't want to try to watch 2D broadcasts in 3D; I just want to be able to play my ps3 games in 3D that are supposed to have that option, or rent a 3D movie on demand, and have it display through a real set of 3D glasses correctly. I'd be willing to pay the difference in cost for this. Maybe even a little more. As I'm sure most others who purchased an led tv just before the 3D versions were announced.
Thanks in advance for any help!
