64 over 32 bit Windows 7 is 64 bit can use over 4gb of ram. Being able to access more memory helps with performance. Most PC available in retail now come with 4,8 or 16 gb of ram and some gaming machines can be configured with 32 or 64 gb of ram. It's not necessary to have that much memory but if you do anything over 3.2 or so GB's is wasted.

That Depends On Your Current Computer's Setup..

Unfortunately, you've given us NO information about your computer.. The current operating system isn't listed and neither is the hardware installed on the machine.. But to answer your question: If you have a computer which has the minimum requirements for Windows 7 64 bit, you simply need to perform a clean install of Windows 7 X64 using an installation DVD. (If your current OS is Windows 7 32 bit, you'll still need to use the installation disk to format the drive and install Win 7 X64 from scratch.) Once that's done, install all the X64 bit drivers that are associated with your computer's hardware devices.

Hope this helps.
