Question

Why my PC does not turn on?

Jul 23, 2019 4:23AM PDT

two days ago I worked with this laptop while it plugged into the switch. Usually, it has this blue color bulb on as a battery charge indicator. But when I removed it for the power it still lights up in blue. I shut down the laptop and day after that indicator is still on. But the laptop won't turn on. Can someone tell me why is this happening and how to fix it?

If it doesn't even start when connected to the power adapter (that's not really clear from your story), reset it by removing the adapter and the battery and keeping the on-off switch pressed for one minute. Then insert the battery again, connect it to the power adapter and see what happens.

If that doesn't help, things to try are (1) a new battery, (2) a new motherboard and (3) a new laptop.

Sorry if it is not clear

Its start when I connected to the power adapter. It does not off when I remove it from the switch. I didn't care much and shut down my laptop. The other day I found out the power indicator is still on but the laptop does not turn on. And now its completely dead. I mean the blue light is also no more.

No make, model, age so as it stands you get repair estimates. I have nothing to work with so I can't make any suggestions.

Kees covered the usual parts that get replaced along with the usual reset we do to see if it's that. You could try a new CMOS battery since that's the cheapest part that it could be. Some folk want me to tell them this will fix it but I can only offer it might.
