Why isn't this forum promoted on the podcast?

by Slikkster / January 28, 2010 5:57 AM PST

Maybe I'm missing it, but every time I listen to the podcast I hear Tom promote the various ways to do/get all things BOL. One glaring omission seems to be promoting this forum. I know the chat room is all the rage because it's live feedback, but note to Buzz Crew: most people probably don't have the time to jump into the chat room when the show is recording. Anyone else notice this lack promotion? Are we denizens of the Buzz Out Loud Lounge (which really should be just the "Buzz Out Lounge" for brevity's sake) just the b*stard children of Buzz Land?

HE does why do you want them to promote this on the podcast that you are watching.

Huh?
by Slikkster / January 28, 2010 6:55 AM PST

I'm saying that he mentions all the different ways to get the podcast, the regular BOL webpage, the chat room, etc., but I never hear the BOL forum mentioned as part of the "family", so to speak. Again, maybe he does mention it but I'm just missing the references. Make sense?

Analogy:

Let's say you have several ways of getting in touch with you, like:

Email
Home Phone
Cell Phone
Website Feedback
Work Phone

but when you tell people how to get in touch with you, you leave out "Website Feedback" (or any of the other individual ways). Just seems like this forum is "outta sight, outta mind" to the staff sometimes.

And as to why I would want them to promote it, it's simple: while it's kind of cool that there's a regular crowd here on the forum, it's always nice to see more people chime in with more diverse opinions and comments.

Yeah, in some way it seems like...

Yeah, in some way it seems like the chatroom has become the new bigger, better deal. I can't totally blame them, it must be very, very busy for them to handle the stream of e-mails and voicemails.

But also, it does seem like the forums have had less activity over the last year.

I'm like you - I can't really get online during the live taping.

Perhaps we should e-mail them of a particularly hot forum thread from time to time.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
