Helped, but not fixed

it really solved a lot of the usual mundane activities but it isn't back to it's usual potential, especially with more complicated programs. is there anything else i can do? If you need more information just ask.

What else we are fighting is all that new apps
Aug 12, 2011 5:51AM PDT

Are demanding more. You have all the new OS patches, the need for Microsoft to fend off Malware (Windows Defender) so without changing the PC I expect this to be slower than it was just 2 years ago.

Nothing may be wrong at all.

I understand what your saying but disagree in my case
Aug 12, 2011 6:59AM PDT

It's not that. the normal things are a little smoother but not completely resolved. Applications i've been using before (in this case, the modern warfare series) worked flawlessly but now they freeze every two seconds. I can't even select mutliple things using ctrl + left click without it freezing for 3 minutes.

Then you have to go deeper.

There is no one cause or cure for this short of starting over but most want to try more things first.

Are you in touch with everything that goes on in your PC? That is, if you looked at the HIJACKTHIS LOG FILE would you know each entry?

Same for each item in the reports from AUTORUNS.
And then the items in PROCESS EXPLORER.

That's a lot of things to look at. Tell the forum what items you found to be suspect.

Alright
Aug 15, 2011 6:23AM PDT

So i use COMODO firewall and i remembered awhile a go i took out the guard32.dll part of it out. is this a possible factor?

- Collapse -
I'll have to write no.
Aug 15, 2011 8:22AM PDT

Until you investigate the items I noted you have little to work with. There is no one thing that causes this today.

Ok thanks

alright, i just don't know exactly how to deal with all of those, thats why i'm here

Not a matter of dealing with all of those.
Aug 16, 2011 4:13AM PDT

Your machine is not like the next and this issue has no one cure.

This is why we "pop the hood" and research what each item is with the tools noted.

If you find a suspect item then you research more or ask in the forums.

You'll also want to avoid making posts like the one at the top of this discussion. It's unreadable.
