Why is the Samsung Galaxy s5 mini such a horrible phone?

Honestly, I have never had such a bad phone, it runs as smoothly as a brick sliding through sand, it just doesn't work. Every app, no matter what app, runs slow, it freezes doing simple tasks, some apps don't even work on the phone. It's just the slowest phone I have ever had and a huge waste of money, I have had this phone for about 6 months and I don't know how I have managed to stay with it, wish I could get my money back but I highly doubt I will, just letting you guys know not to buy this phone, it's like they didn't even try to make it good.

Time to factory reset it IMO.

http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s5_mini-6252.php shows it has over 1GB RAM, 16GB memory and a quad core CPU. I can make any phone feel horrible if I load up on AD SUPPORTED APPS.

There's a lesson somewhere about that.

I thought it was a good phone initially. But the lag builds up after 3 months of usage and i decided to sell it off because it was just plain frustrating.
