I have cable internet with Comcast and have a Motorola modem (DOCSIS 3.0) and a Linksys Router (AC1600 Dual Band Smart Wi-Fi Model No: EA6400) We have a wireless network with 2 laptops and 1 printer. The laptops use Windows 7. The router is new, we bought I in the hopes of speeding up our internet but its actually made I worse. If I connect my laptop directly to the router I get a speed test of 30mbps and wireless runs anywhere from 0.22mbps to 1.92mbps.
With that information I figure it cant be the modem or the laptop, so I would think it would be something to do with the router??? But why, it's a brand new long range router as suggested by Comcast?? They told me my old router was outdated, that one was slow, but the new one is even slower.
