Question

Why is my gaming pc lagging?

Hi,
I've been dealing with very bad lag on my pc when I'm gaming. I've tried everything from installing a fresh windows to re paste it's cooling. Before I had 48GB of ram at 3000mhz frequency but I removed 2x8gb because lag was even worst. Here are my specs http://speccy.piriform.com/results/D5TvSw1IRGbqELwWNFlBAb5

If anyone can help me please do because I'm running out of ideas!

Re: lag

- What's the effect if you replace the 2*16 GB RAM by the 2*8 GB you removed? Just for experiment, of course.
- What's the effect if you stop utorrrent?
- WiFi or Ethernet to connect to internet?

lag

Hi,
When I was using all ram ports I had an red LED on MOB what was an error for ram and my lag was very bad. After removing 2x8 gb(16gb in total) Red LED disappeared and lag wasn't that bad. Before I start gaming, I'm closing all apps and the connection is Ethernet. Thank you

I see torrent was noted.

You have that and the golden ENTERPRISE OS that has a support system you can use.

RX 480 was nice in its day but many games can now overrun that GPU.

Finally if this is lag online, you neatly explained it with the torrent use. I've seen that continue to kill an online game even after it's stopped. You can't help those folk. Why?

1. The app may continue to run in the background. But most of all.
2. Other torrent users have your IP in their list and will continue to ping/attempt connection for a long time after you stop this on your PC. The only fix is to stop torrent forever on this connection. You find that the owner has a hard time giving up the torrent (you can't help them.)
3. Too much of what was torrented that results in a service call infected the PC. You can never be sure you scanned enough so you move to a wipe out and clean install then show it working right. This is costly work and most torrent users will regress to their old ways and not learn the lesson.

Do not meet requirement

Hi,
Maybe your gaming PC lagging because of low hardware. You should upgrade your PC, install the latest component.
For playing the latest games, you should have a minimum
-16gb ram
- a decent graphics card
- a good CPU ( i5 or i7 ) or ( Ryzen 5 or Ryzen 7 )
- a good power supply ( 600w would be better )
- a good internet connection ( at least 50mbps )

You could google for the best build guide

GPU

Go to the gear and setup the on screen display while in game. Select CPU temp, CPU usage, GPU temp, GPU usage and RAM usage. It will display in top left of screen while in game. If you have questions on selecting that check YouTube.
