Question

Why Htc Desire 816 is costlier than Htc Desire 820?

Dec 21, 2014 3:23PM PST

Hi Team,

Please help me to figure this out as on technical grounds I found Htc Desire 820 to be better but its cheaper than Htc Desire 816.
Do you have an idea of why is this so?

Used older/newer parts that cost more. Some folk are unaware of these cost movers.

Since Htc Desire 820 came out by September 2014 whereas 816 was a February 2014 launch, they might have done something to cut the cost for the 820.
Thanks for the reply.

Yeah, I'm not sure why it's costlier too. 816 is a bit bigger in dimension and weight and it has a sense 6.0 skin as opposed to the 820 so perhaps that's why?

Answer
820 cheaper?

I looked up both at full retail and I found just the opposite. The 820 is as much as twice the retail price of the 816.
The 820 is often listed as 820u with more storage and high processing speed. Worth the extra money.

I was going to say the samething.

If 820 is cheaper then get the 820. Actually the 820 has more internal RAM and the secondary camera is of higher resolution. All other spec. seems the same.
