Why 'End Now'?

Hello all:

My OS is winXp pro pack2. Each time when I shut-down the pc, it always prompts a window asking you to press the button 'end now'for some programs, such as 'explorer.exe' 'hiddenfaxwindow', ... Usually it needs you to do 3-4 times, I am getting tired of it!

Is there any way to avoid doing it? Thanks. --Zhao
