That is a pretty vague question. Do you delete temporary internet files, history, disc cleanup, etc. on a regular basis? Do you check for viruses, spyware/adware/etc. on a regular basis? Do you empty the reycle bin after using it?

Guys its normal. For explain it I'd need a lot of pages because it's difficult to explain it for me in english. But there is a solution.
Split the hard disc in 2 partitions, install all in c(the first one) and make a ghost image to the 2nd partition. For example leave 30Gb for the first and basic partition putting there the Windows and all the programmes and put whatever you like at the second partition. Believe you will never loose nothing from there even from a virus. And with ghost you will have whenever you like your pc like the first day in less than 10 minutes.

Stav, your English explanation is very good. Even though you are clear it is doubtful that I could finish all the steps. Would be a good thing to have if done promptly on the first day. Filing your procedure for the next time. Happy

Thanks!

'Cos of Spyware+Trojans+Poor Housekeeping??
Nov 25, 2004 11:10AM PST

The slowdown is not XP's fault.
Any PC that is connected to the Internet will pick up spyware and those that download music from Kazaa/iMesh/P2P networks will sooner or later be invaded with Downloader Trojans thus slowing down the PC to a crawl.

Removing such P2P software and scanning to get rid of spyware and trojans will normally restore the PC back to normal speed.

I fix such afflicted PCs practically every day and it's not limited to XP but all other Windows.

My personal PCs have been running smoothly and as fast as the day XP is installed for several years because they are totally free off spyware & Trojans/Viruses.
