Why does my Sony Cineza HS51 drop out on High Def cable

Jun 23, 2005 1:43PM PDT

Hi, I have a projecter that works great with DVD and normal cable but when I watch sport shows on High Definition the screen goes blank for a few seconds when the scene changes.

I have the High Def connected via component to my Rotel 1067 receiver using the Rotel component out for the projector. I have not tried bypassing the AMP as DVD and normal digital cable do not seem to have a problem?

It would appear that the component signal is either losing sync or dropping out for a few seconds with high definition; this does not seem to occur when watching high definition movies?

Any ideas would be appreciated?

I want to buy a hs51 how good is this unit?

I have read rave reviews about this projector but I have never seen one. right now I own a sony kp-wv600 rear projector with the dish 811 sat system and a denon d.v.d. player with d.v.i. output I switch d.v.i. output from sat unit to d.v.d. with a giffen d.v.i. switcher and the picture looks pertty good but I notice that the l.c.d sets give a razer sharp picture how does the picture on your hs51 compare to the Sony l.c.d. rear project set if it looks just as good I think I will buy one thank you you may respond to stewart norrie in this chat room or cadillac stew@aol.com
