Why does my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 turn off for no reason

Jan 11, 2015 7:10PM PST

My Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 (around a year old) for the past months, turns off for no apparent reason. Even the slighest touch or nudge can make it turn off. And sometimes I even have difficulty turning it back on. The only surefire way for it to stay on is to charge it. Pls. help and ty in advance

what about when it is on ac?

does it do it when you have it charging? if not, then check the battery and see if it is loose. if so, you may be able to fix it with a sliver of paper or whatever so it will fit tightly in the case.

If it's around a year old and it already happens a few months, it's likely it started during the one year warranty period. What did the shop say when you asked for a free warranty repair?

Maybe it's too late for that now. Then all you can do is ask a quotation for repair, I'm afraid.

Thanks for replying. Its ok if I have to pay for its repair. But is there a way to fix it on my own? And what exactly is causing this problem? Is it the battery?
