My PC keeps freezing up, especially when I use windows system tools like defrag, chkdsk, disk clean up. Even if I leave the PC running on it's own it will still sometimes freeze.
Ive wondered if this is a hard drive fault or a windows fault with defrag only getting to at most 27% before freezing.
I've unistalled many programmes to see if that would help, to no effect. Before running it in diagnostic mode I couldn't even get passed windows start up screen!
I'm now thinking of formatting the hard drive unless someone can suggest what to do.
If anyone takes interest in this post and requires other information I'll be happy to send it on.
Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
