Question

Why do some of my posts get blocked?

by befuddledms / September 17, 2016 1:25 PM PDT

I have been having problems posting for about a month. If I post anything over a couple of short paragraphs, my posts will often not post. They appear to have posted but when I look at my profile they are not there. If I look from a different computer where I am not logged in the posts are not there. The Admin has had to fix one really long post for me but even if I try to keep my posts short they sometimes won't post. I see many other posts from others that are much longer than mine. Thanks

where are you talking about
by renegade600 / September 17, 2016 1:34 PM PDT

where are you talking about? are you talking about this forum? or the comment section of cnet articles? I noticed in your profile this is your first post in the forums and you normally post comments.

Some of my comments are getting blocked
by befuddledms / September 17, 2016 1:50 PM PDT

Hi, In the comments sections is where some of my posts are getting blocked. https://www.cnet.com/news/appliance-science-the-uninterruptible-power-supply/<br>

I posted one reply but it was about three paragraphs. It wouldn't post. I tried chopping it into smaller posts. Two posted but one will not. I can see all of comments at the bottom of the article if I am logged in. They are not showing up in my profile or if I check on a different computer where I am not logged in. Thanks

if you can see it

if you can still see it but cannot when not logged in, then flag the post and ask why. Looks like the comment section is run by Livefry not cnet. You can flag it on the bottom left.

sometimes the filters do not work properly, I know because I have had the same thing happen to my comments.

I tried that but I can't flag my own posts. The flag option isn't available on my own posts.

I thought the flag was there, sorry about that. I guess you will have to wait until someone official reads this thread.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
