Question

Why do some of my iPhone5 songs have "blank space"?

Jul 2, 2013 1:08AM PDT

I sync my iPhone5 iTunes library with my Windows 8 laptop computer. When played from my iPhone, a number of songs have "blank space" at the end of the file, almost like it didn't completely sync or something. Understand, too, that ALL the songs I'm referring to play PERFECTLY on my laptop - they just won't properly play back on my iPhone.

There does not seem to be a common thread between the problematic files - they range from small (<2Mb) to pretty large (>30Mb); some were purchased from iTunes, some were downloaded from CDs; some "go silent" early in the tune, some halfway through, some within 10secs of the end. Regardless of the size or origin of the file, however, any one file will always go silent at the same point each time it played.

Last night, I deleted all music from my iPhone5, and re-synced with my computer. No difference... each problem song is still a problem, and at the same point it was before.

Any help is appreciated.
