Why do some folder look like song forums?

Feb 25, 2011 5:49AM PST

I find that some of my folders have headings that would be appropriate for collections of songs. I can go in and individually change the headings, but I once found a way to tell the OS that that the folder was not a song folder.

I can't find that again. Can someone remind me of what to do?

I am running Vista 64 bit version

Not sure if it works on XP, but worth a try.

Right click the folder and select Properties. Is there a "Customise" tab there? If so, you can change what the folder is optimised for there.

It does work with Vista.

I don't know how I missed it.

Can anyone tell me how those folders got characterized as song folders in
the first place?

Intuitive Vista?

If there is nothing but music tracks in a folder, then I would guess that Vista recognises that and assigns the folder as a music folder.
