Why do people do these things.

#1 buy a plasma TV, wall mount, Installation, and then buy a full size stand to put under the mounted plasma.

#2 buy an LCD tv and then put it in a entertanment center.

#3 buy an HD LCD for the kitchen to hook up standard cable.

Ive seen lots of picture of people doing this, I got to know the answer, WHY.

#1. so their kids dont hang on it and/or knock it down. it looks pretty good. they have room for all their components.

#2. because a lot of people like new technology but are limited by the space of their entertainment centers. a 42inch dlp will not fit into a center built for a 36inch tube....but they dont want the tube technology due to the weight of they go for lcd.

#3. because most good lcd's around 17inch or bigger will be HD anyways and "it'll be ready for the future".

basically, it is what it is

Just had friends visit me, they had just bought a new plasma set hooked up to a s.d. cable and when they saw my system asked why mine looked so good . So I told them about my dish hi-def satellite system and the $19.00 fee for hi-def service and they told me that was way to much money go figure so many folks think buying a hi-def t.vis like buying a toaster plug and play ha ha

AT least for new constuction custom homes. Bt the time the owner gets to audio/video he/she is already tired of making decisions, overbudget, overwrought, possibly near divorce, and just wanting to get anything in place so they can get moved in.
