If you edit a song after you add it, I can see why it would disappear from say Windows Media Player.
If you are trying to EDIT PROPERTIES with Windows File Explorer then I'm going to write this doesn't always work. I think Microsoft is improving but for such an edit I think we need to use an editor appropriate to the file type.
I can't see where you mention if this is a MP3 file so I can't give the nod to editors or players.
I have a few songs on my computer. Some display information on their name only, but others have some other information in front of them, such as title, album, etc. When I open the files' properties and details, I find myself able to edit them. I wanted to change the "title" of a song that already had it, but even though I was able to erase it, I don't seem to be able to write it back. I write the title I want, check it multiple times, but when I close the properties tab it doesn't show anything - and when I open the properties' details again, the field is blank. I cannot even put back the title it had before. Could someone help?
