The fiance says he'll decide by later today whether or not he'll take a lie detector test...

something fishy, please tell me it ain't so...

Been following this on Fox News ...

... Greta interviewed him the night after she disappeared. I wasn't looking at the TV, just listening, so I was focused on his answers to her questions. His placement of the timing of her going jogging started out very jilted and rehearsed. Granted could be nerves and not wanting to be second-guessed, but it gave me that bad feeling Sad Hope I'm wrong. Either way, seems harm has befallen this woman Sad

... according to Uncle he passed a polygraph this morning, but cops are saying nothing official has been done as of yet. Hair found nearby her jogging route seems to be similar to her hair. Not looking good for her Sad

... says fiance (future nephew-in-law) passed a privately administered test. Police want a law-enforcement administered test. Subject fiance refuses unless videotaped. Police procedures don't normally include videotaping lie detector tests. The proverbial Mexican standoff. So who is hiding what?

Sadly, I too doubt she'll be found alive.

Interesting discussion just now ...

... Leese Wiel (sp? -- former prosecutor) talking on Fox. The sticking point on an official polygraph seems to be the requirement by the fiance that it be videotaped -- stall tactic cuz he knows this isn't ever done according to the police spokesman I just heard?

Also apparently clothing and hair found HAVE NOT been shown to either fiance or other family to "identify". Hair was cut, not pulled out. Clothes did not appear to be torn off. Perhaps her trying to change her appearance ... or perp trying to plant evidence to send folks on wild goose chase in the wrong direction. If it IS him (and not saying it is), he must have learned a lot from the Scott Peterson case Sad

yup, I am not going to accuse anybody of anything yet either, but it's a stinky one.

I don't know but...

If I'm innocent I will protect myself legally. Seems to me that investigations of this type turn too quickly to the spouse. We only get to hear about the ones the husband was actually guity, there must be far more not guilty husbands out there in this type of situation.

Personally I would be catatonic if my wife fell to harm like this and would rely on others to speak and possible think for me.

Not knowing much about the case....

....I'm inclined to agree. The guy may be asking for the polygraph to be videotaped to protect himself against getting tried and convicted in the press.

Having seen this kind of story way too many times, I also hold little hope that this woman is still alive.

His demeanor on TV the other night ...

... seemed far too calm. Just my gut reaction.

Seems the polygraph is pretty routine for missing people these days -- given to several in the recent high profile cases.

It's all of course meaningless speculation at this point. I just get a weird vibe from this guy. First just from listening to his voice, worsened when I saw him reacting to the police statements this afternoon.
