Did you follow a backup restore guide or just copied files in a new way?
More about contacts in Outlook is on the web but let's cover something else. Sometimes office/outlook needs a patch before it works right.
For backup, never rely on just the PST file. EXPORT IT. Now you have the PST and a backup.
After replacement of the hard drive I installed outlook 2007 I created the account and I copied the old file of personal folders on the new hard drive in the folder where it and has to be. mail, tasks, and etc outlook was received fine, but with the address book problem. After its start there is a message that it is impossible to display the folder of contacts that it was removed or moved, or not access rights to it. Although the contacts folder in place and contacts I see. additionally, when you try to add new contacts, address book forbids to do so, saying: "can't add a new record to add it use the module contacts" - vicious circle.
How to teach outlook to see my old contacts?
