Question

Why can't I send messages from Win 7 and WL email

Aug 3, 2011 5:22AM PDT

I cannot send mail from my web mail host through Windows Live Email. The message is created normally and hit the send button. I can see the message in the outbox but then disappears as though it has been sent. However, the sent box does not contain the message nor do I receive any kind of error message. I've tried sending test messages to an email account I can monitor and it never arrives. It just vanishes from the outbox. I've checked my web host settings and everything is correct in the WL account properties. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Sounds proper.

To send email with Live we use an email client that is supported. You appear to have some unknown web mail host so it could be as simple as a black listed site to it's not supported.

Think back to what worked and work your way back to that.

But if it was sent, irregardless of where, wouldn't the message appear in my sent box at least?

No.

I can think of a few reasons but since it was sent from a web mail host (that's your claim in your top post) then why should it show in the email client?

Also, some folk change the VIEW of the folder and think these are missing.
