why can't I connect my cell to pc?

by green_sleeves / November 10, 2005 1:49 AM PST

I just got a Motorola v220 & a 'monster' USB cable to hook it up to my computer ( not a laptop )- when I do, the 'connect new hardware' wizard shows up & can't ( or won't ) do anything with my phone. It seems it wants software to continue.
I thought it was a simple thing, just hook up my phone & I could download some ring tones.
What am I doing wrong, I am about to give up the ghost, no one in any forum has been able to answer my question.
I have an 'e machine't2642 & have windows xpsp2, and am using high speed cable.
Can anybody help me? Sad

So I am dead in the water until I find the software from curitel communications for an CDMA 8910 Audiovox for Alltel service. Thought if you found a solution to your problem it might help me as well?

Probably need to download the software driver from the handset manufacturer to the computer. As smart as computers are nowadays, it sometimes needs a little help.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
