Why Are Gaming Laptops too Heavy????

How Come Everybody Always be saying that 8lbs is too Much???

There Like "oh 4 to 6lb is the best"

Dude I carry Like 20lb of Books to Class Every Day,

Why would I tweek over another 8lb????

And For that matter how weak are you when you cant carry 8lbs???


And Dude For Real at CES How Come Veronica Could Not Pick up the Voodoo envy 201?????

It Weighs 15lb,

Is she that weak???

aren't made to be carried around campus. I have probably the heaviest laptop available it weighs over 17.5 pounds. It's the Acer 9810-6829 with a 20" screen.

The usual gamer laptop will use a nice 3D chipset which will create more heat so larger heatsinks and fans are needed. Then the power supply and battery needs are greater so those go up in size and weight as well.

For not gamer use you can easily get the 4 or under pounders.

I like my lighter weight laptops during travel.
