That bitrate is fine for 1080p play.

Sorry, forgot to add more information.

1 BR smart Player with the Netflix app, connected to a LG smart TV with the Netflix app. The difference is between those 2 apps. I rather use the TV app since it's a lot faster.

Any WiFi in use?

I find that WiFi can throttle without much reason on TVs and players. Here's my work list when I call on these.

Before all this, be sure router, TV and device firmware is current and settings are as near to stock as possible. If you find the owner using a VPN, close the ticket as it's not ours to fix.

1. Change the DNS to a Google DNS like 8.8.8.8 (how, why is on the web.)
2. Test with an Ethernet Cable.
3. Do a speedtest.
4. Research the ISP to see if they are interfering with Netflix. If they do, close the ticket after you show it working with your cell phone hotspot.
