I opened the accuweather program from the store and turned off the alerts. Maybe that will fix it. Still I don't understand how something that is "not" installed is doing this. Minor update this is a windows 10 dell computer desktop.
and how do I stop them. Those that have seen some of my posts in the past may remember that I have been trying to find a good weather app for my desktop. I have used WeatherBug for years but now it has quit working. Don't know why. I liked it because it kept the "actual" temperature on my 'taskbar' and if I clicked to enlarge I could see the "radar" and put it in motion. I tried the weather channel and accuweather, from "the store", but neither would display the "temperature" on the taskbar, just an icon. You had to click the 'icon' to bring it up and then you would get the "whole" deal. I found a program called 8 Gadget Pack 16.0.0 that will display the 'temperature', constantly, which is what I wanted. It appears it is tied to the weather channel, because when I double click it, it brings up the weather channel website. Which I am good with that.
But now I get these "accuweather alerts". Which I don't want. I looked in "programs" and its not installed, so how do I get rid of these "accuweather alerts".
Thanks in advance
