Question

WHS Installation

Jul 14, 2011 3:04AM PDT

I have and HP EX495 and a OEM copy of WHS 2011. How do I install this on a headless system? How do I make this bootable flashdrive with a config.ini file? How do I create and iso file from the OEM disk?

Answer
I looked and didn't find that supported.

Looking at WHS I didn't find support for booting from USB. That's probably why you didn't find Microsoft instructions.

But if we toss WHS and look at all those Linux versions you find USB install and boot is supported and they do SERVE up the content.

My first neuron to fire says to look at CLEAROS LINUX first at http://www.clearfoundation.com/Software/overview.html

Thanks for the input. I am even less familiar with Linux than windows. How's that for being up a creek?
