Whole picture is just green lines

Mar 6, 2009 4:26PM PST

Hi,

I brought a Samsung Series 5 Plasma 50" and it works fine, but only on analog tv, digital tv displays nothing but green lines can't see any tv but green lines, almost just a green picture. The sound is fine, but picture shows nothing of the show, just green.

I was told to buy a amperfire (how ever spelt) for the singal, yet this did nothing, helped in no way at all.

Any info, as it is hard to take back to store (had it delivered) for something that might be simple fix, only picked it up today.

Green Static on Digital = Tuner DEAD
Mar 13, 2009 8:40PM PDT

Hi,

Took the tv back to store. They tested it and same thing, we belive the digital tuner must be dead. Was in DOA but as no stoke will have to wait atleast 2weeks for new one. Will be ring Samsung on Monday to see why I should have to wait that long when in DOA of 14days.

So if anyone asks why there is green static on digital TV and not analog, surgest they take it back and get replaced.

Delay...

B__D,

I apologize that you got a unit with a bad tuner. I'm not sure why the replacement would take 14 days to arrive, as those are usually issues with the retailer's distribution. But I hope you can get your unit a little sooner than that.

Again, we strive for excellence, and hope that your replacement works out for you. Please keep me posted.
