Question

Whole Home Audio Help

Dec 28, 2014 12:52AM PST

I purchased a home foreclosure and every room has speakers installed in the celling. Under the stairs there are many wires that look like speaker wires. The house was built in 1994. Where should I start to get a audio system that will play through the speakers?

There are tomes about use of a Volt meter to see if these are safe to check out with some audio source. If this is your first time dealing with tracing, take time to read up on it. There is no magic, just work, your Volt meter and maybe a test source. I've used so many over the years from old radios to buzz boxes.
For example https://www.google.com/search?q=Cable+tracer+with+tone+generator

Some need that, manuals and training.
