Who's Winning, iOS or Android?

Who's winning the mobile platform wars, Apple's iOS or Google's Android?
Android sells more smartphones than apple. But Apple is making more money by sellying smartphone than Android.

....that while Google makes the operating system and maintains the the Play Store, they do not make/sell the phone like Apple. There is a larger profit margin is in the sale of hardware and applications than the actual operating system.

The phones I don't see out there are ones with Windows, Blackberry, and the also ran other than top 2 consumer choices.
