Who's selling Acer Aspire 3935-6405?!!

by lynnwest / September 17, 2009 5:33 AM PDT

Can anybody tell me where I can find this laptop? Came out in June, got rave reviews, a few sold on various sites, and has already disappeared! Acer reps insist that 4 online sellers have it, but those sources all say "discontinued" and one told me they heard it was a problem with production. I want this laptop - any clues greatly appreciated!

The story is much simpler.

There are production runs so when it sells out the next model takes it place. It's like a shark. Move or die. You shouldn't get stuck on this one but find what replaced it.

Odd - doesn't look like anything nearly as good has replaced it - newer ones of the same size are either bigger and heavier or same size and slower...unless I missed something.

Let me explain weight.

Someday we might have to take out the battery when weighing the machine. It's too easy to add 2 pounds there and you see the consumers wanting more battery time even if they may run the laptop on the desktop plugged into the AC forever.

Keep shopping.
