Who need dig when you have BOL?

by Dirty Pirate / April 21, 2006 1:39 AM PDT

If Dig is a social bookmark site, then I would have to say that Buzz Out Loud is the original and the more relevant.

It is alive because it is the user community within Buzz Out Loud that makes it relevant.

It is active because we share what we hope would be interesting to each other. If it isn?t, no one freaks out about it. You don?t have to worry about votes to be cool; you just have to be involved.

The podcast sums it all up daily what is going on in the news and the forums, and is pleasantly presented by Tom, Molly and Veronica.

We are more interested in giving a smile about technology when it is cool or funny or a growl when technology and technology companies do wrong.

We share.

So who need dig? I don?t. Things are just more relevant here in BOL and the other forum groups.

(NT) (NT) Half of the stories in here come from Digg.

but I really enjoy the chemistry between MT&V. All the stories, ideas and opinions may not be unique (there's only so much news to report) but everyone has their own personality (some people call them quirks ;-)), likes and dislikes and they make it a fun show.

I really enjoy it when Veronica publishes it in time for my commute home.

Buzz out Loud is neither a social bookmarking sight nor "original" in the sense that I believe Digg happened before BOL.

That said, a forum like this can have great value (except when the forum software itself makes it so hard to interact with the other folks in the forum).

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
