I was thinking the other day -- something I do occassionally -- and I connected some dots. Whether or not the dots are connected in reality is another story.
Bob Woodward is making a big deal over the number of attacks in Iraq, as ya'll know. But I began remembering some of the things that have happened.
For example, there was an attack on a mosque by a another party, designed to make it appear that it was done by American soldiers.
I wondered if there is a lot of that kind of thing going on. People attacking Sunnis, people attacking Shia...The natural assuption is that the Shia are attacking Sunni as well as the other way around. I don't doubt that is true, but I wondered if there is a third party hitting the bee hive with a stick, trying to stir things up and ultimately, to destablize Iraq.
I remember from the early days of the war, Iran was already talking to the Shia. And later, I read about how Iran was sending explosives to Iraq. We know this because we have ways of knowing where these things come from. It makes me wonder how much else is going on, with Iran getting mixed up in Iraqi affairs.
And, not too long ago, I remember how Iran was showing off some missiles, some fancy boats and other toys. We knew that Iran's technological know-how was not up to that, so it must have come from the Russians. So now I'm wondering if the Russians are ultimately who is behind everything, in the background.
We've been watching most Russian citizens have lost what few rights they have had a taste of. And I've read recently about how Russia seems to have no qualms about who it sells fighters to, with the last sale going to some bad guys in South America (where I don't recall).
Anyway, it looks to me like things are a little more convoluted that we might othewise think.
Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
