It's less than an hour away. Will it be a debate or scripted infomercial? As for the judges....I hear some lost their jobs in Athens.

I cannot imagine Bush beating Kerry at a debate ...
by Bill Osler / September 30, 2004 11:28 AM PDT

Let's be real. When Kerry is on message, his rhetorical skills are impressive.

Mr. Bush's virtues do not appear to include good extemporaneous speaking. My understanding is that he used to be pretty good at this sort of stuff, but he sure hasn't shown a great deal of skill during the last few years.

Of course, some commentators claim that Bush will "win" the debate if he exceeds our low expectations.

As I listen to debate, what I'm hearing tends to confirm my initial bias.

Kerry is looking best in this debate
by James Denison / September 30, 2004 11:54 AM PDT

Bush needs to quit being a punching bag, and start hitting back. He's spending too much time trying to block Kerry's attacks and not going back at Kerry in equal measure. It sounds like he's trying to justify himself to Kerry of all people, and that looks bad. Bush needs to hit Kerry on things he's said, do it forcefully, make Kerry look like the wiffle waffle he really is.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
