White Smoke virus

Mar 11, 2011 10:03AM PST

My PC was recently infected with the White Smoke virus and I had to have Support Plus from AT&T remove it. Support Plus told me that they are getting many calls for help regarding this and that most were coming from people using Facebook.
Are any of you aware of this and if so what are the dangers of this virus?
Thanks,
Leeflea

Not the best form

Hi Leeflea.

I can understand why you have posted in this Forum Feedback forum, but it is really for Forum matters and bug reporting.

Have you posted your question in CNET's dedicated virus at Spyware, viruses, & security forum?

If not, I would suggest you raise the question there. They won't bite! Devil

Thank you Mark for your kind information. This is the first time I've ever posted and obviously I should have been more thoughtful.
I'll do as you suggested.
Again, thank you.

I just removed the Whitesmoke virus with PC Tools Spyware Doctor with anti-virus. You may want to try that. Good luck.
